I enlisted in the United States navy and left for boot camp one week after High School Graduation. I was an aviation
Storekeeper and was assigned to an Oceanographic aircraft squadron at the Naval Air Station in Patuxent River Maryland. We flew P-3 Aircraft over the ocean, and around the world during our missions. I was in the Navy for 8-Years (4 years active Duty/4 years in the Naval Reserve). During my service I completed my Freshman year of college taking part time classes at St. Mary's college of Maryland using my G.I. Benefits.

after the Navy I went to college at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Anthropology and German Studies.
After Graduating College, I worked my way up as a chef's apprentice in a fine dining restaurant in Milwaukee, specializing in Northern Italian Cuisine.
During this time I became the president of a premier adult soccer club in Milwaukee. I was president and proprietor for over 12 years and built the club from one Men's Major league team to over 125 members including a women's premier league team. I was honored to have been awarded a service award in the wisconsin soccer hall of fame and inducted into the the soccer club's hall of fame.
After working in the culinary world, I moved on to a plumbing warehousing career, working for an international Plumbing Wholesaler as the company's inventory manager.
aT THE AGE OF 38 I pursued my dream of becoming a teacher. I WENT BACK TO THE university OF Wisconsin - Milwaukee FOR TEACHER CERTIFICATION. after 4 YEARS OF INCREDIBLY CHALLENGING, FULL-TIME COURSE WORK, I WAS CERTIFIED AS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR.
during this time I was blessed with two beautiful babies; a son and a daughter.

after ONE YEAR OF TEACHING IN Milwaukee, I moved to plymouth where for 5 years I was a FIRST GRADE and then kindergarten teacher. During that time I served as the Plymouth High School's JV and Freshman Boys Soccer Coach at plymouth high school and taught summer school math (Kindergarten - 2nd Grade).
Now, I am about to start my 8th year at cooper elementary! I have spent 6 years as a kindergarten teacher and one year as the first grade math teacher during the pandemic. over the last two years i have taught the 4K to 5K transition class during summer school. I look forward to serving our cooper families!
